Live music with The Alpine Treeline
With influences ranging from Coheed and Cambria to Jimmy Eat World to Coldplay, The Alpine Treeline is headed up by Matt Geeze, who started writing songs on his guitar in 2009. With the help of his brother, Jonny, and two other friends, Tim Scott and Lee Phillips, those acoustic songs began to come to life. Since 2010, the band has played out around the Worcester area. Bethany Strothers As an artist, water intrigues me as a subject. It is so molecularly simple, yet it possesses universal visual, spiritual, and emotive qualities. This contradiction between its simple structure and its capacity to express complex concepts is what inspired these works, which are part of my Reflections series. Worcester State College students are hosting a fundraiser to raise money for their upcoming trip to Nicaragua. These students are volunteering with the nonprofit Manna Project International. This group serves international communities through holistic development. In the past they've worked on such things as building athletic complexes, aiding in a health and wellness clinic, and help building language skills.
