This small fish represents a powerful tool to study the brain. Although simpler\, zebrafish have the same cell types and connections as all other vertebrates making them ideal for understanding basic brain circuitry. One of the greatest advantages of using zebrafish is their brain is transparent\, making it easy to visualize the connections within the brain.
